Dr. Pisters is a renowned cancer surgeon, researcher, professor and administrator. As President of the MD Anderson Cancer Center, he leads and inspires thousands of MD Anderson’s hidden healthcare heroes.
Peter established his career at The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center in Houston, serving over two decades in faculty and senior leadership positions prior to his appointment as President in December, 2017. He leads with a strong moral compass and dedicates himself to personal core values that include integrity, hard work and life-long learning. Peter is a loving father of three.

OUR APARTMENTS
Halo House has 29 one-bedroom apartments and four two-bedroom apartments available for
guests. In addition to the bedroom(s), each apartment has a living room, a fully equipped kitchen,
and a counter-top eating area. Furnishings include two TVs, linens, kitchen utensils, kitchen
appliances, full sized washer and dryer, alarm clock, coffee maker, microwave. Basic cable and
internet service are also provided. Every one-bedroom apartment has two queen beds.
Two-bedroom apartments have three queen beds.
Lease Requirements
One-Bedroom Apartments are $25 a day - Two-Bedroom Apartments are $35 a day
Must be actively receiving treatment for a blood cancer.
The minimum stay is two weeks, and the maximum is three months.
Patients must have a caregiver with them 24/7.

Corder St, Houston, TX 77054.
Shuttle Service
Shuttle service to the Texas Medical Center is provided by Halo House to our guests at no
additional charge. Shuttles operate 12 hours per day, five days per week (M-F). Shuttles are
not available on holidays, and are not wheelchair accessible.
Restrictions
Halo House is a smoke-free building.
Pets are not allowed.
